This graphic shows how to configure a Sound Blaster AWE64.

sndconfig first probes the system for a plug-n-play sound card -- if it finds one it will then play a sound sample.

If the card isn't detected - or if the sound sample wasn't heard properly - you can choose the sound card model from a list and may need to supply IRQ settings if necessary.

Switch back to the desktop by pressing Alt-Ctrl-F7 when finished.
